Ingredients:
- 1 box (15.25 oz) white or yellow cake mix
- 2 pints vanilla ice cream
- 2 pints chocolate or strawberry ice cream
- 1 cup chocolate chips or crushed Oreos
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Line the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
- Press the prepared cake layer firmly into the bottom of the pan, ensuring it is completely cold.
- Spread half of the first ice cream flavor (vanilla) over the base, smoothing it with a spatula until flat.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips or crushed cookies evenly over the vanilla layer.
- Top with the second ice cream flavor (chocolate), smoothing the top until it is level with the edges of the pan.
- Place the pan in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
- Beat the cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla on high until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped topping over the frozen ice cream layer and freeze for another 2 hours before serving.
