Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 4 oz thick-cut bacon, diced
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 oz shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
- Place the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced bacon and cook until the edges are crisp and the fat has rendered.
- Add the ground beef to the bacon fat. Break the meat apart with your spatula, cooking until it is deeply browned and sizzling.
- Stir in the butter during the last minute of browning to add a nutty, rich finish.
- In a large bowl, combine the eggs and heavy cream. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is a uniform, pale yellow color with no visible streaks of egg white.
- Stir the sea salt and cheddar cheese into the egg mixture.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the egg mixture directly over the browned meat in the skillet, stirring gently to ensure the meat is evenly distributed.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until the center is set and the edges have pulled away slightly from the sides of the pan.
