Ingredients:
- 1 cup (250g) creamy almond butter
- 1/2 cup (120ml) pure maple syrup
- 1 cup (170g) dark chocolate chips (70% cocoa or higher)
- 2 tbsp (30ml) coconut oil, melted
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) fine sea salt
- 1 tsp (5g) flaky sea salt
Instructions:
- Line your 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a medium microwave-safe glass bowl, combine the almond butter and maple syrup. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Add the dark chocolate chips and melted coconut oil to the warm almond butter mixture. Let it sit for 1 minute to allow the residual heat to soften the chocolate, then stir slowly until the mixture transforms into a deep, mahogany-colored cream.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and fine sea salt until fully incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Immediately sprinkle the flaky sea salt evenly across the surface.
- Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until firm to the touch.
- Lift the parchment paper to remove the block and slice into 16 equal squares using a sharp knife.
