Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup beef bone broth
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup full-fat sour cream

Instructions:

  1. Place a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt until it begins to foam.
  2. Add the ground beef, breaking it into small chunks with a spatula. Cook without stirring too often until the meat is mahogany-colored and slightly crisp on the edges.
  3. Pour in the beef bone broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to release the browned bits. Stir in the softened cream cheese, mixing continuously until completely melted.
  4. Lower the heat to medium-low. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer gently for 5–7 minutes until the sauce reaches a velvety consistency.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat entirely. Fold in the sour cream, sea salt, and black pepper, stirring until the sauce is glossy and smooth.
