Ingredients:
- 3.5 lb beef chuck roast
- 2 tbsp coarse sea salt
- 2 tbsp beef tallow
- 0.5 cup beef bone broth
Instructions:
- Pat the beef roast completely dry with paper towels and generously rub the sea salt into all sides of the meat.
- Heat beef tallow in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast for 3-5 minutes per side until a deep mahogany-colored crust develops.
- Place the roast in the slow cooker and pour the beef bone broth around the sides of the meat.
- Set the slow cooker to LOW and cook for 8 hours.
- Remove the roast to a cutting board, shred with two forks, and pour the remaining pot juices back over the beef.
