Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 6 large (300g) eggs
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) sea salt
  • 1 cup (115g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place your skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Break the meat apart with a spatula and cook until deep brown and slightly crispy around the edges. Drain excess fat if desired.
  2. While the beef is searing, whisk the eggs, heavy cream, and salt in a bowl until the mixture is uniform and no streaks of egg white remain.
  3. Spread the browned beef evenly across the bottom of the hot skillet. Pour the egg mixture over the beef, tilting the pan to ensure full coverage. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly across the top.
  4. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the cheese is bubbling and golden.
