Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) Ground Breakfast Sausage
  • 8 oz (225g) Thick-cut Bacon, diced
  • 1/2 lb (225g) Ground Beef
  • 10 Large Eggs
  • 4 oz (115g) Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Heavy Cream
  • 2 cups (225g) Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Instructions:

  1. Place the diced bacon in a cold skillet over medium heat. Fry until the fat renders and the pieces are mahogany-colored and crisp.
  2. Add the ground sausage and ground beef to the same pan. Cook, breaking the meat apart with a spatula, until no pink remains and the edges are browned.
  3. Drain excess grease from the pan if a firmer set is preferred.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the 10 eggs until the yolks and whites are fully combined and pale yellow.
  6. Stir in the softened cream cheese and heavy cream, whisking vigorously until the mixture is smooth and no lumps remain.
  7. Spread the browned meats evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  8. Pour the egg custard over the meat, ensuring it fills all gaps.
  9. Top the casserole with a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
  10. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden-brown.
