Ingredients:

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Boil the bowtie pasta in salted water. Stop 2 minutes before the package says al dente Note: This ensures the pasta stays firm during air frying.
  2. Drain the pasta in a colander and let it sit for a minute.
  3. Pat the pasta dry with a paper towel. Ensure no excess water remains Note: Water creates steam, which kills the crunch.
  4. Toss the warm pasta in a bowl with 2 tbsp olive oil until every piece glitters.
  5. Stir in the 1/4 cup Parmesan, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  7. Spread the seasoned pasta in a single layer in the basket. Do not overcrowd the space Note: Air needs to flow around each bowtie.
  8. Air fry for 7 to 10 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through until the pasta is mahogany gold and toasted.
